INFORMATION
ARRIVAL TIME AT CAMP: Between 8:00 p.m – 8:30 p.m., Friday, February 7, 2025
DEPARTURE TIME FROM CAMP: 11:00 a.m. Sunday, February 9, 2025
COST: $100.00 (non-refundable) this includes transportation

TRANSPORTATION: We are offering a bus service for all participants. The bus will leave the 4-H Center
Friday, February 7 at 6:55pm. It will pick up from camp on Sunday, February 9 at 11am and return to the 4-H Center approximately 12 noon. This cost is included in the camp fee.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Please complete and sign the Event Permission form and return it with your check for $100.00 (payable to the Somerset County 4-H) to the 4-H Office by Friday, January 17, 2025.
Space is limited so return your application early!
WHAT TO BRING: 3 changes of warm layered clothing for winter outdoor sports, 2 pair of boots or waterproof shoes, sleeping bag, pillow, extra socks, towel, toiletries, pajamas, indoor games, etc.
Each person should bring:
Fruit (bag of apples, bag of oranges, bunch of bananas, whatever)
Baked goods OR chips OR candy to share (baked goods can be store bought)
A reusable mug/cup for warm or cold drinks
We will provide all meals, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, milk, and juice .
Space is limited. First come, first serve so sign up early!

Explorers of the Deep
Join us for a workshop open to youth in grades 5-8 that dives into this year’s 4-H STEM Challenge. Designed by Rutgers University, Explorers of the Deep, focuses on the mysteries and adventures of ocean exploration! Youth learn how to use science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to explore Earth’s Ocean and how it relates to all life on the planet.

Save the Date for Ag-Venture Day!
Come and take on an adventure with the Somerset County 4-H Animal Science clubs! Youth in grades 4-6 will have the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with livestock in order to learn about the agriculture industry and animal science.
Trainmasters Winter Train Show
Join us for the annual Trainmasters Winter Train Show and see the incredible display the Somerset 4-H Trainmasters put together, filling the entire 4-H Center gym!
4-H Winter Camp
Join 4-H members from Somerset, Warren, and Sussex County at the scenic LG Cook 4-H Camp. Enjoy meals, heated cabins, hiking, ice skating, sledding, games, crafts, and more - all while having an incredible time meeting new 4-H’ers and making lifelong friends.

On-Target Archery Club 6th Annual Fun Shoot
The On-Target Archery Club Fun Shoot is for 4‐H youth members that are active in a 4-H shooting sports club in New Jersey. All participants must register prior to the shoot and receive confirmation of attendance. Awards will be given at the conclusion of the event.

Woof Dog Show
The Woof Dog Show, or the Woofminster Dog Show as we like to call it, is a great opportunity for any 4-H member in a dog club from any county in New Jersey to participate and show their dog in our competition!

2022 Northeast Region 4-H Volunteer Connections
Each session will provide an opportunity to network with volunteers across the region and discover new activities and ideas to enliven your work with youth.

[Virtual Event] Youth Dialogues on the National Climate Assessment
University and high school students are invited to a special event to discuss the Fifth National Climate Assessment (NCA5), a major U.S. Government report on how climate change affects people and places in the United States.
Rabbit and Cavy Showmanship Clinc
Showmanship will be demonstrated by Somerset County 4-H members. At the end of each session there will be informal judging for addtional experience.
Healthy Living Summit
Workshops, guest speakers, activities, and more will provide experiences for teens to learn about healthy living topics including nutrition, healthy equity, food insecurity, substance abuse, physical fitness, and mental health and to discover the possibilities of careers in these areas. Summit attendees will meet and work with youth virtually from across the country.

Franklin Township Pop Up Food Pantry
Attention all 4-H Clubs - we need your help!
We are partnering with the Franklin Township Youth Center to collect donations for the Franklin Township Pop Up Food Pantry. The collection box in in the 4-H Center Lobby and will be there for a while. We are looking for clubs to sign up for a month and be responsible for making sure there are donations that month. Of course, everyone can donate at any time! But we want to make sure it will never be empty.

TOPS Day Camp - Counselors Wanted
If you are a teen between 8th and 13th grade - you can volunteer to be a TOPS camp counselor! Make friends, gain leadership experience, be a positive role-model and above all - HAVE FUN!

Meet with the experts at the forefront of COVID-19 and community health. Topics include the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, community public health within the LGBTQ+ community, and healthy microbiome nutrition and it’s relationship to COVID-19 treatment and reducing organisms that cause coronavirus.
Somerset County 4-H: Virtual Teen Social

Join photographer Parvathi Kumar in this workshop where she will present her new book: Everyday Blackness: Celebrating Exceptional Women. She will answer questions about her book and photos, and will share how a photo book can be used as a way to create a mini permanent exhibit.
Morris County 4-H: Camp in Minecraft
The Morris County 4-H Minecraft club members have done it again! This time, they’ve recreated L.G. Cook 4-H Camp in the virtual world and are offering both WINTER and SUMMER camp experiences.
Middlesex 4-H: Top Chef Event 2021
4-H members, leaders, and parents (individuals and teams) are welcome to create their favorite recipe and share it for judging. Video your creation including ingredients, directions for making it, and your finished product. Judging is based on choice of items, cooking technique, creativity and presentation of your video.
