The 4-H/Middle Earth Student Ambassadors for Community Health is proud to present: Bound Brook Cleanup & Kickback Event!
Join us on September 16th at 11 am to be part of your community's health.
Help clean up litter in Downtown Bound Brook and then kickback and celebrate all your hard work at Codrington Park with free family fun, games, and food!
Volunteers will get free T-shirts and giveaways, learn about community resources, and earn volunteer hours.

Earth Day, Every Day: How Does a Rain Garden Grow?
We'll take a deeper dive into the design and installation of rain gardens as fall is a perfect time to get them in the ground. Amy Rowe, Associate Professor/ County Agent with Rutgers Cooperative Extension will run through how to plan, design, and install these popular stormwater management techniquest that reduce rainwater runoff and bring beauty to your home and community.
Hilsborough 250th Celebration Parade
Due to this year's Memorial weekend parade being canceled we are now planning to host a Hillsborough 250th Celebration parade on Saturday, September 18th. Please note that only Hillsborough youth based organizations and local non profit charitable organizations are eligible for applying to march. Additionally, all groups are encouraged to provide floats representing their organization!
2nd Annual Walking Art Competition
Register for the 2nd Annual Walking Art Competition! Using Strava, a GPS app, participants are invited to use their imagination and draw by walking, running, or cycling the path in real life. This is open to all youth in grades K-13.

Influential Women in Agriculture
Sit down with Somerset County Commissioner Melonie Marano as she leads a panel discussion with influential women in the agriculture community. The panelists will be sharing their stories, history of farming in our community, and where they believe agriculture is headed.
Earth Day, Every Day: Spotted Lanternfly

The invasion has begun! Dr. George Hamilton, Chair of the Department of Entomology and Extension Specialist in Pest Management at Rutgers, will discuss all things spotted lanternfly (Lycorma deliculata). Come learn about the spotted lanternfly’s biology, its introduction and spread in the U.S., and potential ways to manage or reduce the population of this invasive insect.
Farm to Table: Bread and Butter
Milk and bread products arethings that we eat every day. These important food staplesare available to us thanks to farmers. During this workshop you will learn how to make bread in a bag and butter in a jar as well as learn about the ingredients used and how they are grown on a farm, processed, and available to you to purchase at your local grocery store.
National 4-H STEM Youth Summit
Engaging, hands-on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) activities and design challenges will provide one-of-a-kind experiences for teens to discover the possibilities of a career in STEM. Summit attendees will meet and work with youth virtually from across the country in activities designed to instill curiosity, and critical thinking, to develop the skills needed to be successful in life.
